Are you attending the Allergy Show London 2017 at Olympia on Saturday 8th or Sunday 9th July? I attended on Friday and showcase below the very best deals not to be missed. Read these together with my Allergy Show Guide for maximum benefit & enjoyment!
These are not simply the products with the biggest discounts. These are my picks of truly great products which are worth buying at their regular price and doubly worth buying at the Allergy Show London 2017 thanks to a discount.
Everything I am recommending is Gluten-Free AND Vegan.
Top Deal #1 Mozza Risella Vegan Cheese
This is, easily, inarguably, the most gorgeous vegan cheese in the world. I have tried many. I have even tried cheeses from the world famous Vromage in Los Angeles. Vromage is excellent but give me Mozza Rizella and I am very happy! Indulgently rich, creamy cheese packed with amazing flavour, especially the Blue Risella and Smokey Rissella varieties. Germinated Brown Rice and Apple Cider Vinegar are two of the unusual and interesting ingredients.
Whether you are vegan or simply like gorgeous cheese. Please, try it.
In the UK Mozza Risella isn’t available in any retail stores. It can be bought online for £4 per 200g pack but only with minimum order prices and delivery charges. Get 3 for £10 at the show. It keeps for 24 hours at ambient temperature so you can safely transport it home. In theory it lasts for 3 months chilled but once you take your first spoonful of it, it will vanish within a day or so.
Top Deal #2 Venice Bakery Pizza Bases
Here comes another bold claim, but I’m totally right. Venice Bakery make the best gluten free pizza bases in the world. In fact, they make the best pizza bases period. Okay, they make the best thin & crispy pizza bases to be precise. The bases are ‘Free-14‘, no gluten, no dairy or eggs or soy or any of the 14 major allergens.
Just like Mozza Risella, Venice Bakery bases are not available in any retail stores. They can also be bought online but with either a minimum charge of £30 or delivery fees. Buy them here and keep them for up to 3 months at room temperature.
In a beautiful arrangement and work of genius, Mozza Risella are sharing a stall with Venice Bakery. Venice Bakery are constantly preparing lovely Pizzas free to sample and are always one of the most popular stalls at this show. Sample yourself before buying and learn why :-)
Top Deal #3 CoYo Coconut Yogurts
The absolute best of the Coconut Yogurts available. Clean and simple ingredients. Velvety smooth. Live vegan bacterial cultures. No added sugar in the plain variety and minimal added sugar in the delicious flavoured varieties. They normally retail at £2 or more per pot. Get them at £1.50 plus a free cool bag in the 6 for £9 deal at the show.
Do get at least one Salted Caramel. Unless you are crazy :-P
Top Deal #4 Gosh! Falafels & Veggie Burgers
Gosh! launched a terrific range of burgers, bakes & bites at the Allergy Show in 2016. They are another ‘Free-14’ product with absolutely none of the major 14 allergens. They are also gosh darn tasty. There are samples of everything. If you are planning to hoover up samples throughout the show I recommend starting here so you can satisfy some of your minimum 5 a day vegetables intake before moving on to the carb heavy and sweet treats in abundance everywhere else.
Gosh! Burgers, bakes and bites retail at £2.50 in Tesco and Ocado. So the 3 for £5 deal coming out at £1.67 per pack is super great value.
Top Deal #5 Nuzest Clean Lean Protein 1kg
If you use protein powder and haven’t tried Nuzest yet go to their stall and treat yourself. Gluten Free and Vegan. Clean tasting. Subtle flavour. No nasty ingredients. If you have tried pea protein before you might expect a strong savoury taste and protein that clumps together. Not Nuzest. The chocolate tastes only of chocolate. The Vanilla of Vanilla. The Neutral of pretty much precisely nothing, great for smoothies.
Incredibly, this stuff also mixes into water with just a spoon. No blender needed, no shaker, not even a whisk or fork. This might be because unlike other pea proteins it is produced via a cold water extraction method.
It isn’t cheap. I have been buying Nuzest Clean Lean Protein for over a year and it is never available for less than £40 per kilo. It costs £50 bought direct from Nuzest and I have never seen this discounted. Sample all the flavours and buy your favourites at the show for the best deal you are likely to get. £37.50 for one kilo. I bought two tubs myself.
