In this post I will share with you the very best of the London Free From Festival 2019. Don’t tell the other festivals but I think the Free From Festival is my favourite. It is billed as the UK’s first Gluten, Dairy and Refined Sugar-Free Food Festival. First run in London in 2016 and after deserved success now featuring in Bristol, Oxford and London in 2019.
What is special about it?
Friendly & Social! Lots of street food which together with seats and benches and live music makes it a great social event
Foodie Discoveries! It is small enough that some really tiny startups launch here or exhibit really early on in their life so find things here that you find nowhere else. Maybe the next big thing!?
Inspiring! Almost all the stalls are staffed directly by the foodpreneurs behind the brands. You can connect directly with them to discuss their product and offer them welcome feedback. These are special people that are throwing themselves into the many challenges of starting up new brands, running their own company and launching creative new products!
Unlike huge events like the Allergy Show and VegFest it is not a free-sample palooza nor are deep discounts common. However you are more likely to find hidden treasures and new local artisans that simply do not show up elsewhere. Brands not for sale on the high street. Sometimes not even online! In 2018 I counted at least six stalls launching at the Festival.
No further delay, here come my favorite finds from the London Free From Festival 2019 event. Missed it? Follow Free From Festival on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to make sure you know about the next one!
