How often does a gluten free diner get to do that? See the problem is yes, you can have anything but you surely cannot have everything! Not in one sitting at least. Remember to leave room for dessert. It will almost definitely not just be fruit salad!

What are the sources?
This map was inspired by the 100% Gluten Free lists marvellously maintained by Caroline at The Coeliac Plate. Other key sources include Kiss My Gluten Free, the Free From Eating Out Awards and coeliac social media community groups. Venues are added only after confirmation from the owners or managers of their Gluten Free status.

Visit the fantastic For Gluten Sake for lists of 100% Gluten Free places to eat in many countries around the world.
What does 100% Gluten Free actually mean?
To be included venues must have a 100 Percent Gluten Free food menu. This allows inclusion of venues offering drinks containing gluten.
Be aware that even with a 100 Percent Gluten Free there may be differences in the level of safety venues depending on where food is prepared and how it is sourced. Some outstanding venues have full control over food preparation and no gluten in the environment and actively manage their supply chain to eliminate the risk of gluten. Others might buy in some ready made foods prepared in environments where gluten is present but with the cross-contamination risk robustly managed.
Being 100 Percent Gluten Free is not a requirement to cater safely gluten-free. Many of the chains and independent venues accredited by Coeliac UK are not 100% Gluten Free. 100% Gluten Free venues are nevertheless surely among the safest places to eat out gluten free in the UK.
Are these venues guaranteed safe for coeliacs?
As a careful coeliac I confidently eat at these places. I love eating at 100% Gluten Free venues as it allows me to relax and enjoy eating out free from the need to be alert or anxious. However as ever please take responsibility for your own safety.
Contact venues in advance to tell them your needs and confirm they can cater for you. Do this especially if you avoid other allergens such as dairy. Some venues focus on gluten free and are not ready to offer food free from other allergens.
Be aware that changes in owners, managers and suppliers occur and the gluten free status may change too. Please double check for your well being :-)
Do I know that Northern Ireland exists?
Oh dear, I do, and I am pretty sure it has some gluten free attractions too! My sources just do not cover them well so I confess to ignorance. If you can help close the gap please do.
What should you do if something is missing or incorrect?
